the lucrative word called : promotion

Promotion very oftenly listened from the Boss.
Promotion available to some one after this appraisal cycle or your boss will say, you must be positive and keep workng and in the next cycle you will get. As the time passes by, cycles move, but the promotion never happens.

Reason lies in the bossism of the corporate culture which in India is very high as the employee are in abundant in the service industry and due to unemployment for every one fired, 15 minimum will be available for the same job.
See how easy for the boss to fire and get the new one on he job.

But where is the promotion, said a cycle before. Boss himself doesn't have any idea to why it was given to say 'X' person. If you ask why, forget to get promotion even in the next cycle and then we say we have open culture and organisation encourage why???

Is it really true ...
might be...but in some 30% there is error in the promotion , as it is based on the perception of the boss about you and not the actuall work. This leads to perception as a major criterion for the promotion which in turns leads to the discouragement of the 'Why' culture, thus subjecting to the wrong decissions of the Boss. But as said boss is always right, we have to accept whatever it is, or else leave .

But where would you go...
Every place seems to be like this....
So its better, shut it, forget it and then get it.
